If Portal is the witty cousin of puzzle games, The Talos Principle is the philosophical one. You’re a robot in a world filled with ancient ruins, solving puzzles with lasers, boxes, and logic gates — but the real questions come between puzzles: Who are you? What does it mean to be sentient? What is free will?
The puzzles themselves are satisfying — a good mix of challenge and flow — but it’s the writing and voice logs that really elevate the game. It feels like someone fused Portal and Blade Runner, then sprinkled some Greek mythology on top. It’s not for everyone, but if you like thinking about thinking, it’s a solid 10/10.
